Hanoi (VNA) – A virtual exhibition of✤ 50 prominent Vietnamese lacquer paintings opened onDecember 9 at //trienlamtranhsonmai.trienlamao.net./., introducing theessence of Vietnamese art to the public at home and abroad.

A joint effort betweenthe Vietnamese Foreign Ministry’s Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCOAffairs and the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum, the event was part of theVietnam Days Abroad 2021 – a national popularisation programme annually held bythe ministry.

The exhibitionspace was designed in 3D form in English and Vietnamese languages. The works ondisplay were chosen by the museum, highlighting the beauty of Vietnamese countryand its people. A highlight of the exhibition is thework “Binh Phong” (Folding Screen) by Nguyen Gia Tri, which has been recognisedas a national treasure./.

Viet♎nam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
