VN companies to build power plants in Laos

♔An agreement to this effect was signed in Vientiane on August 27 between representatives of the Laos Government, the Song Da Group and the Vietnam-Laos Electricity Joint Stock Company.

♛Under the agreement, the Sekong 3 hydro-power project, with a capacity of 205MW, will be built by the Song Da Group with an investment of 278.5 million USD. The project, which is scheduled to ♔begin generating power by 2015, will be carried out under a concessionary agreement with an operational period of 25 years.

🤪The Sekaman 4 hydro-power plant, with a capacity of 80MW, will be built using 128 million USD from the Vietnam-Laos Electricity Joint Stock Company.

It is expected to 💛produce electricity by 2016 and is also under a concessionary agreement with an operational period of 25 years.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
