VN, RoK firms boost trade cooperation

Businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK) not only want to increase trade promotion and export-import activities, but also develop trademarks and relations with Vietnamese partners.
Businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK) not only want toincrease trade promotion and export-import activities, but also developtrademarks and relations with Vietnamese partners.

The General Director of Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Chae ByeongYong made this statement at an exchange seminar between Vietnamese andRoK businesses held in HCM City on May 9.

Yongsaid most of the visiting RoK firms operate in industrial machinery,information technology, electronics, semi-conductor production, solarenergy, foodstuffs, fashion and cosmetics.

NguyenDoan Thong, representative of the event organiser Vietnam Chamber ofCommerce and Industry in HCM City asked the two countries’businesses to share information on products and market prices to seekcustomers and strategic partners.

In the recent twoyears, the RoK has surpassed Japan to become Vietnam ’s secondlargest supplier with main commodities such as garment materials,leather and footwear, machinery, equipment, spare parts and plastics.

The RoK is also Vietnam ’s fourth largest importer,with key products like farm produce and footwear worth nearly 4 percentof Vietnam ’s total annual exports.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
