Vietnam brought home four gold medals from the Canada Open taekwondo tournament, which closed on October 1 in Montreal.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam brought home four gold medals from the CanadaOpen taekwondo tournament, which closed on October 1 in Montreal.

Le Tran Kim Uyen and Tran Ho Duy won a medal each and shared two double titles.

Uyen bagged the first medal in the junior female poomsae (performance)category, defeating Justina Yu who came second and Rose Lagran who was third,both from the host nation.

Uyen then won her second title when pairing with Duy to top the junior pairpoomsae category.

Yu and Brian Lam came second and Yerim Jeong and Daniel Lee of the UnitedStates finished third. They also triumphed in the freestyle poomsae pairevent.

Duy then grabbed a gold medal in the male U17 individual freestylepoomsae.

The Vietnamese athletes are the reigning world and Asia champions oftheir categories.-VNA
