VN wants Canada’s group to engage in more infrastructure projects
Vietnam hopes Canada’s Transportation Vision Group (VTG) will launch more transport infrastructure projects in the country, including the construction of the North-South high-speed railway, said Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamhopes Canada’s Transportation VisionGroup (VTG) will launch more transport infrastructure projects in thecountry, including the construction of the North-South high-speed railway, saidDeputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung.
Dung told Chairman and CEO of the VTG Richard Coureyat a meeting in Hanoi on November 22 that theVietnamese Government welcomes and values determination of potential andexperienced international partners to join infrastructure projects in thecountry.
Lauding the VTG’s experience in infrastructure development, he said that Vietnamis mobilising social resources for investment in infrastructure servingsocio-economic development.
The Vietnamese Government is improving its investment and business environment,completing institutions and creating favourable conditions for foreign anddomestic businesses to expand investment, he added.
For his part, Richard Courey noted that the VTG has proposed Hanoi and theVietnamese Government, ministries and agencies launch the urban railway projectNo.2 that connects the Noi Bai International Airport and theWest Lake in the form of Public Private Partnership.
He showed confidencethat his firm is competent in successfully implementing the project.
