Vietnamese women won the championshipat the Asian Team Chess Tournament 2009, which took place in India fromDec. 22-28.
The women’s team included Le ThanhTu, Nguyen Thi Thanh An, Pham Le Thao Nguyen, Nguyen Thi Mai Hung andHoang Nhu Y. The host India’s team and Iran ranked second and thirdplaces, respectively.
Meanwhile, in the men’s category Le Quang Liem, Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son,Bui Vinh, Dao Thien Hai and Nguyen Anh Dung pocketed the silver medal.The gold medal went to India’s team and the bronze medal to Iran.
