VNA, Phu Yen team up in communications programme

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the central province of Phu Yen inked an agreement on communications cooperation on May 24, with the aim to intensify bilateral coordination in this field.

Phu Yen (VNA)✱ – The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the central province of Phu Yen inked an agreement on communications cooperation on May 24, with the aim to intensify bilateral coordination in this field.

Under the document, the VNA will publish news on socio-economic life in Phu Yen in all media forms it publishes as well as assist the province in communications for both internal and foreign relations purposes.
Meanwhile, Phu Yen will provide information to VNA correspondents in the locality while creating favourable conditions for them in their operations. Speaking at the event, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi said that with its role as a State news agency with numerous media forms and products, the VNA will serve as a bridge to popularise the image of Phu Yen to the public, especially foreigners.
Boasting a network of 63 bureaus across the country and 30 offices overseas in 28 nations and territories, the Vietnam News Agency has all products and forms from bulletins, photos and e-newspapers to pictorials and television programmes, serving both domestic and external information. The media office also delivers news in various languages such as English, French, Chinese, Spanish, Lao and Khmer – the Cambodian national language. It has also tightened its communications cooperation with numerous localities across the country, including Long An, Dong Nai, and Da Nang.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
