Vu A Dinh scholarships presented to Dong Nai’s ethnic students
The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund presented scholarships to poor ethnic minority students with outstanding learning performances in the southern province of Dong Nai on July 4.

Dong Nai (VNA) – The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund presented scholarships to poorethnic minority students with outstanding learning performances in the southernprovince of Dong Nai on July 4.
This is thefirst time Vu A Dinh scholarships have been presented in Dong Nai. This year,147 scholarships totalling 170 million VND (7,370 USD) were handed over to bothschool and university students.
Dong Nai ishome to over 40,000 students belonging to ethnic minority groups mainly Hoa,Tay, Nung, Cho Ro, and Ma.
Accordingto former Vice President Truong My Hoa, who is President of the Vu A DinhScholarship Fund, education is one of the most effective paths to a brightfuture. Therefore, it is essential to support and invest in children’s academiccareers.
The Vu ADinh Scholarship Fund – named after a young liaison officer who was killed duringthe French resistance war – was set up in 1999 by the Ho Chi Minh CommunistYouth Union to support poor ethnic students in their study. Since then, over80,000 scholarships have been granted.
Last year,the fund handed over nearly 5,000 scholarships to ethnic students across thecountry. The “Mo duong tuong lai” (Pave the way to the future) project, carriedout by the scholarship fund, assisted 50 ethnic female students to attendschool.
Meanwhile,three schools were constructed for students in the provinces of Dien Bien andYen Bai under the “Thap sang tuong lai” (Lighting the future) scheme.
Thescholarship fund also presented 3,000 scholarships to children of navalofficers and fishermen in localities affected by natural disasters. -VNA
The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund on November 28 present scholarships to students of ethnic groups and children of naval soldiers and fishermen in the central province of Binh Dinh.
A meeting was held in Hanoi on February 27 to review Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund’s activities in 2017 and embark on its working programme for this year.
The Vu A Dinh scholarship fund, established in 1999, aims to support ethnic minority students from poor families who achieve outstanding academic performances, said former State Vice President and Chairwoman of the fund Truong My Hoa.
“We are making efforts to give ethnic minority students bigger scholarships so they can cover living expense, study well and become good citizens,” said President of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund.
The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund presented scholarships to 15 outstanding ethnic students nationwide, who had excellent academic performance during 2017-2018 academic year, at a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on June 16.

In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
