Wheelchairs given to Thai Nguyen disabled people

The Lawrence S. Ting Community Support Fund of Taiwan (China) presented 140 wheelchairs and 50 tricycles to people with disabilities in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on November 5.
The Lawrence S. Ting Community Support Fund of Taiwan (China)presented 140 wheelchairs and 50 tricycles to people with disabilitiesin the northern province of Thai Nguyen on November 5.

Theaid, worth a total of 321.5 million VND (15,300 USD), was given to thoseresiding in eight districts, cities and townships across Thai Nguyen.

In the past seven years, Lawrence S. Ting has supported theprovince with teaching tools such as computers, projectors andmicroscopes, totalling nearly 630 million VND (30,000 USD).

It has also donated 220 million VND (10,500 USD) to Thai Nguyen to facilitate the study of its rural and poor students.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
