Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said a project on building several excellent universities is an important strategy as part of the Vietnamese Government’s effort to enhance cooperation with international partners such as Germany, France, Japan, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. Within such framework, three universities have been set up, including the VGU in 2008, the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi in 2009 and the Vietnam – Japan University in 2014.
Participants discussed experience in building a new university model like the VGU and its feasibility in Vietnam, contributing to improving the country’s tertiary education on par with those in the region and the world.
They had a chance to learn about the WB’s role i𝓀n Vietnam’♔s tertiary education reform, an overview of Germany’s tertiary education system and concept of a research-oriented university.
The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is a key part of the educational cooperation between Vietnam and Germany, particularly Hessen state, heard a recent seminar in Wiesbaden city, Hessen.
Quintessential education is the first foray that VinUni, a member of private business conglomerate Vingroup, said to make a breakthrough in the quality of higher education in Vietnam.
The programmes have brought about positive changes to rural infrastructure, comprehensively improved the material and spiritual lives of farmers, and contributed to Vietnam's economic restructuring, said PM Pham Minh Chinh.
The festival highlighted the contributions and robust development of Vietnam's revolutionary press over the past century while promoting press products and showcasing the creativity of Vietnamese journalists.
The programme on sustainable poverty reduction has achieved its annual targets for reducing the poverty rate as assigned by the National Assembly and the Government. It has fulfilled five specific objectives and five five-year goals, and met nine out of 12 indicators related to addressing basic social service shortages.

At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach.
