World jewellery fair to kick off later this month in Thailand

Thailand’s Chanthaburi Province is preparing to hold the 11th WorldJewellery and ‘Khong Dee Muang Chan’ Fair, while inviting Thais andforeigners to visit its newly constructed Gems & Jewellery Museum,claimed to be the biggest in Asia.

The event is a joint effortof the Chanthaburi Gems and Jewellery Traders Association, theprovincial administration, other local administrative offices, and theTourism Authority of Thailand.

The fair will take place at ChanthaburiGems & Jewellery Centre from November 29 to December 7 with the aimsto promote Chanthaburi Gems & Jewellery industry to theinternational level, and stimulate the local economy and tourism.

Theevent will also provide a channel for gems and jewellery producers andtraders to negotiate, giving the local gems industry to expand itsmarket to the international community. It will also showcase gems andjewellery products designed by international jewellery designers.

A widerange of gems and jewellery selections in different sizes and designswill be offered to event goers along with local food and OTOP goods.

Severalother activities include cultural performances by several youth groupsof the province and a ceremony of unveiling Chanthaburi’s gemstone mine.All are invited to visit the biggest and most modern Gem &Jewellery museum in Asia.-VNA
