Yen Bai boosts ties with Lao provinces

Friendly ties between the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai and the Lao provinces of Vientiane and Saynhabuly have progressed well over the past years.

Yen Bai (VNA)🌞 – Friendly ties between the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai and the Lao provinces of Vientiane and Saynhabuly have progressed well over the past years, according to Director of the provincial Department of External Relations Nguyen Tien Dung.

Via mutual support in Party building and socio-economic development, Yen Bai has trained and provided scholarships for nearly 200 Lao students in the fields of pedagogy, health care, culture-art and tourism since 2011.
Yen Bai has also sent officers to Lao departments and agencies to teach Vietnamese while welcoming Lao fellows to the province to share professional experience in health care, agriculture, planning, investment and transport. Moreover, the province has offered financial assistance worth billions VND to the Lao side to build medical and housing facilities. Both sides also annually hold exchange of visits to set cooperation plans and share experience.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
