Da Nang (VNA) – The construction of a new terminal at the Da Nang International Airport began on November 15.

The project has a total investment of 3,500 billion VND (155 million USD) and comprises three main components: an international passenger terminal, an overpass in front of the terminal and a parking area.

The capital for the project has come from the airport’s owner and commercial loans from BIDV and Vietinbank.

The 48,000 sq.m terminal has a design capacity of 4 million passengers each year by 2025 and provides parking space for over 400 automobiles.

The construction is planned to finish after 16 months and the new facilities will open ahead the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum’s meetings in 2017 in the city.

The D♛a Nang Airport is the third largest internati🅠onal airports in Vietnam after the Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat International Airports and an important gateway to central Vietnam.-VNA
