The central city of Da Nang will host 3,200 tourists from cruises duringTet, the city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said.
Threecruisers, the Germini, Costa Victoria and Volendam, will dock at TienSa Port for exploring destinations in the city as well as Hoi An andHue.
Meanwhile, 14,000 visitors will land in the city via directand chartered flights. The department will present lucky money to thefirst visitors at the port and airport.
According to the department, 64,000 tourists have already booked rooms at resorts and hotels during the nine-day Tet festival.
Nearly 263,000 tourists visited the city last month, an increase of 13 percent compared to the same period last year.
Internationaltourists accounted for 112,000 visitors, an increase of 3.5 percentyear-on-year, while the rest were domestic tourists, up 22 percent,according to the department.
