Da Nang calls for Japanese investment

The central city of Da Nang has called for investment from Japan businesses, and especially those in the Kansai region.

This is the main focus of the workshop, “Promoting Japan’s investmentto Da Nang” co-organised by the Da Nang People’s Committee and the JapanExternal Trade Organisation (JETRO) on Nov. 23.

Accordingly, Da Nang welcomes enterprises from Kansai to conduct surveysand invest in various fields, including high technology, supportingindustry, electronics, consulting services, renewable energy andindustrial zones.

In terms of human resources, the twosides will provide support for high quality education and studyprogrammes between tertiary institutions.

For trade andtourism, it is expected to open a direct air route linking Da Nang andOsaka. Da Nang is keen to organise more cultural exchanges, roadshows,farm trips, tourism fairs and exchange of tourism experts andconsultants between the two localities.

Together with theeffective efforts of JETRO, Da Nang commits to creating favourableconditions for businesses from Japan and the Kansai region to seekinvestment opportunities and implement projects.

Japan isconsidered an important partner of Da Nang in economic cooperation,investment and tourism with registered FDI of 231 million USD,accounting for 8 percent of total FDI to Da Nang.

Recently, Da Nang has established relationships with several Japanesecities such as Mitsuke, Kawasaki, Sakai, Nagasaki, and Yokohama andhopes to cooperate with Kobe, Yaidu and Ohtawara soon./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
