The agenda of the 10th session of the 13th National Assembly (NA) will be packed with a number of bills to be discussed over the 31 days. The discussions will aim to improve legal frameworks on judicial activities, social democracy, the socialist-oriented market economy, and the constitution clarifying human and civil rights, as heard at the ongoing 41st working session of the 13th NA Standing Committee in Hanoi on September 15.
Lawmakers will give feedback on 17 draft laws, including the Law on Information Access and Law on Religion and Belief. Fifteen of the drafts were approached at the NA Standing Committee’s 40th session and will undergo further discussion at the next session. The committee plans to evaluate the implementation of the NA resolutions on monitoring the operations of separate sectors to conduct Q&A sessions more effectively.
Relevant agencies are actively preparing and completing documents in the field for submission to the NA Standing Committee. During the 41 st working session, deputies discussed the 2016-2020 socio-economic development plan and offered opinions on the report inspecting the activities of the provincial and municipal People’s Councils. They also reviewed reports on judicial affairs and corruption prevention as well as planned out the 2015 State budget estimate and solutions to central budget distribution in 2016./.
