Indonesia expands export of key agricultural products to New Zealand

The Indonesian Government is determined to seize opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of national agricultural products, an official has said, adding that it always strives to promote exports at the highest possible level, based on a mutually beneficial foundation.

Jakarta (VNA) – The Indonesian Government is actively promoting key agricultural products such as coffee, coconut, and crude palm oil to New Zealand, with an aim to strengthen trade cooperation and increase the added value for the domestic agricultural sector.

At their meeting in Jakarta on August 7, Indonesian Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman and New Zealand Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Trade and Investment Todd McClay signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral trade in agricultural commodities.

Speaking at the following press conference, Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman said that this collaboration is a positive step for both countries, especially in light of current global trade and economic uncertainties.
