Khanh Hoa (VNA) –🐬 The JapaneseMaritime Self-Defence Force’s submarine Kuroshio docked at Cam RanhInternational Port in the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa onSeptember 17, beginning a five-day visit to Vietnam.

This is the first visit to Vietnam by the Japanesesubmarine. The visit is part of activities celebrating the 45th foundinganniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations and realising agreementsbetween senior leaders of the two countries and their defence ministries. The visit is also expected to enhance mutual trustand understanding between the Vietnam People’s Navy and the Japanese MaritimeSelf-Defence Force, thereby deepening bilateral defence collaboration andcontributing to peace, stability and cooperation in the region. While in Vietnam, officers of the submarine will pay courtesycalls on leaders of Khanh Hoa province and the High Command of Naval Region 4. In addition, they will also participate insport and professional exchange events with officers and soldiers of the NavalRegion 4 and visit famous destinations in Nha Trang city.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
