Khanh Hoa (VNA)🗹 – Luxury cruise ship Genting Dream arrived at Nha Trang Bay, the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on November 9, bringing more than 2,000 visitors to Nha Trang city.
The 18-storey ship is 335 metres long and has a tonnage of 160,000. It is capable of carrying 3,400 guests and 2,000 crewmembers.
Most of the passengers aboard come from China, the Republic of Korea and European countries.
While their stay in NhaTrang, visitors and crewmembers went sightseeing to the city’s attractions like the Po Nagar Tower and Hon Chong (Husband Islet).
Earlier, the cruise ship docked at Tan Cang – Cai Mep port in Ba Ria – Vung Tau on November 8. Following Nha Trang, it is set to visit Da Nang city.
This is the first trip of the cruise ship after being launched by Genting Hong Kong and Dream Cruise Line in late October 2016.
Khanh Hoa province had by the end of October welcomed more than 3.9 million visitors, including 950,000 foreigners.

The Mariner of the Seas, a luxury cruise ship of the US Royal Caribbean International harboured at Chan May Port in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue on October 13.
The container ship of Tan Cang Shipping Company under the Saigon Newport Corporation anchored at the Tan Cang-Cai Cui Port in Cai Rang district, the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on October 24.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has instructed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST) to coordinate with other ministries, agencies and localities to effectively implement policies and directives from the Party, Government, and Prime Minister on tourism development.
Da Nang's appeal stems from its numerous outstanding tourist attractions, particularly My Khe Beach, Sun World Ba Na Hills resort, and the ancient town of Hoi An. By source market, China continued to lead with 3.1 million visitors, equivalent to 25.5% of all foreign arrivals. The Republic of Korea followed with 2.5 million, or 20.7%. Other major markets included Taiwan (China) with 737,000, the US with 522,000, and Japan with 380,000.
Khanh Hoa has welcomed 16 international cruises so far this year, with more than 19,000 tourists disembarking to explore the province’s scenic landscapes and renowned cultural, religious, and artistic landmarks, as well as to enjoy local cuisine and sightseeing tours.
According to local plans, fireworks shows will be held at multiple locations, with Ha Long Bay as the focal point. More than mere entertainment, these displays are part of a strategic cultural tourism product aimed at strengthening the region’s brand.
