This data was released by the market analysis firm Metric, in a recent report on the online retail market for the third quarter of 2024. According to the report, the total transaction volume over the first nine months on these online marketplaces reached some 9 billion USD, up nearly 38% compared to the same period last year. In the third quarter alone, around 3.3 billion USD was spent by the Vietnamese on those e-commerce platforms, up over 18% over the previous quarter. The figures demonstrate the robust e-commerce market of Vietnam, said Metric. The analysis firm forecasts that, total sales on the five largest platforms will be 3.2 billion USD with 870 million products sold in the fourth quarter./.
