As many as 86 awards were granted to outstanding ASEAN businesses at aceremony in the Lao capital of Vientiane on July 28.

The awards honoured outstanding ASEAN businesses, popular ASEANtrademarks and regional businesspeople with great efforts during theglobal integration.

The event was jointly organisedby the Vietnamese ministries of Industry and Trade and of Planning andInvestment, the Lao ministries of Industry and Commerce and ofInformation, Culture and Tourism, the Vietnam Association of Small andMedium-sized Enterprises and the Vietnam Cooperatives Alliance.

In his letter to the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen SinhHung said the event is of significance to boost solidarity andfriendship among regional businesses during the global integration.

𝐆 Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
