Party, State leader attends national unity festival in Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnamand President Nguyen Phu Trong joined a great national unity festival withlocals in his residential area in Nguyen Du ward, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoion November 14.
The event was held to celebrate the 88th anniversary of the traditional day ofthe Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF).
Together with local residents, Trong reviewed the glorious tradition of the VFFsince its establishment and the achievements it has made in building new-stylerural areas and civilised urban areas.
He praised the VFF for initiating the event to uphold the spirit of solidarityamong the public.
He applauded local residents for upholding a spirit of solidarity to ensurepolitical security and social order in residential areas.
Local residents had continued to support each other in economic development toimprove their living conditions, he noted. The area no longer had any poorhouseholds and all children had access to education.
Agreeing with local residents’ development plans and tasks for next year, Trongasked them to continue to unite and abide by policies of the Party, State andHanoi in order to ensure security and social order. - VNA
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on November 17 joined residents in Dien Bien ward of Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district in the great national unity festival, an annual event held nationwide to mark the founding anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930).
National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan joined residents in Sen 3 hamlet, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, central Nghe An province, at the great national unity festival on November 19.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a great national unity festival in Noi Ninh village, Ninh Son commune, Viet Yen district of the northern province of Bac Giang, on November 10.
As of June 17, Ca Mau province had achieved its target of supporting the construction and renovation of 4,400 homes, with a total budget of over 235 billion VND (about 9 million USD).
