More than 100 photos on Vietnam’s sea and island beauty and maritime economic potential are on display at an exhibition which opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 24.

HCMCity (VNA) – More than 100 photos on Vietnam’s sea and island beautyand maritime economic potential are on display at an exhibition which opened inHo Chi Minh City on October 24.

Theevent was jointly organised by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Vietnam –Russia oil and gas joint venture Vietsovpetro.  

Thephotos feature beautiful landscape and daily life of people in coastal areasand on islands, sea-based economic development and security and defence activitiesat sea.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, VNA GeneralDirector Nguyen Duc Loi highlighted a strategic vision and consistent policy ofthe Party and State on maritime economic development and safeguarding national sea and island sovereignty.

The exhibition will last until October 27, and then be movedto junior high schools in the city./.
