Moscow (VNA) – Each Vietnamese living in Russia has the responsibilꦆity 🐼for nurturing and developing the time-honoured friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told a meeting with the Vietnamese community in Moscow on May 18.

He affirmed that the Party considers the Vietnamese community overseas an integral part of the nation and an important force for the country’s development.
The Party will create all favourable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to assimilate into the host country while maintaining and promoting the national cultural identities, he added. The Government leader informed the community of the outcomes of his talks and meetings with Russian leaders, emphasising that the two sides agreed to synchronously implement measures such as facilitating import-export activities of their enterprises, intensifying trade promotion and bringing into full play the free trade agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union and other FTAs Vietnam joins.
He expressed his hope that Vietnamese people in Russia continue contributions to the nation construction and development and act as a bridge for the Vietnam-Russia traditional friendship. The same day, the PM attended the inaugural ceremony of the representative office of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) in Russia. He hailed the role of BIDV in supporting businesses, and asked its representative office to well provide services for Vietnamese enterprises and consumers in Russia.-VNA
