Reference exchange rate down on July 11

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange at 25,128 VND/USD on July 11, down 3 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange at 25,128 VND/USD on July 11, down 3 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,384 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,872 VND/USD.

At 8:20 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks also saw decreases.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,920 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,328 VND/USD, both down 30 VND from the July 10 morning session.

Meanwhile, BIDV cut both rates🦹 by 40 VND to 25,920 VND/USD (buying) and 26,280 VND/USD (selling)./.

Car sales increase sharply in June

Passenger cars accounted for the largest number of sales with 22,934 vehicles, up 14.6% over the previous month. Meanwhile, sales of commercial vehicles reached 8,782, down 2%, while specialised vehicle sales reached 261, up 23% over the previous month.

Cross-border꧟ tourism, trade rebound at Huu Nghi int’l border gate

Statistics show that over 1.24 million people have completed immigration procedures at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate since January, including more than 430,000 with passports (up 5.8%) and over 810,000 with travel permits (up 22.5%).
