Reference exchange rate up 2 VND on April 6

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,100 VND/USD on April 6, up 2 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank ofVietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,100VND/USD on April 6, up 2 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of  +/-3 percent, theceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,793 VND/USDand the floor rate 22,407 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates at commercial banks sawslight fluctuations.

At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at22,700 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,010 VND/USD, unchanged from theclosing-hour rates on April 5.

BIDV cut both rates by 10 VND at 22,735 VND/USD(buying) and 23,015 VND/USD (selling)./.
