Reference exchange rate up at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the reference exchange rate at 22,440 VND on August 7, up 6 VND from the final transaction day of last week (August 4).

Hanoi (VNA) – The StateBank of Vietnam set the reference exchange rate at 22,440 VND on August 7, up 6VND from the final transaction day of last week (August 4).

With the current trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate appliedto commercial banks during the day is 23,113 VND and the floor rate 21,767 VNDper USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks remained almost unchanged.

Vietcombank and BIDV kept their rates at the same level as on August 4,at 22,695 VND (buying) and 22,765 VND (selling) per USD.

♑ Maximum fine of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
