Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bankof Vietnam set its reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,431 VND/USD on themorning of November 23, up by 10 VND from the day ago.
Withthe current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is23,097 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,760 VND per USD.
Major commercial banks made slight increasesto their rates, with Vietcombank, Vietinbank and BIDV raised their both ratesby 10 VND from the previous day.
The green back is being traded at 22, 690 VND (buying) and 22,760 VND(selling), per USD.-VNA
According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the issuance, supplement and use of bitcoin and other similar virtual currencies for legal payment is prohibited in Vietnam.
