Quang Nam (VNA) – Vice President DangThi Ngoc Thinh visited revolution contributors and students in the centralprovince of Quang Nam on August 24 ahead of the National Day (September 2) andthe new school year.

She presented gift packages worth 2.5 millionVND each to 50 outstanding revolution contributors, holders of the Hero of thePeople’s Armed Forces title, and war invalids.

Over the past years, Quang Nam has always paidattention to ensuring the Party and State’s special treatment for revolutioncontributors who numbers more than 330,000 in the province.

On this occasion, Vice President Thinh alsogranted scholarships worth over 2 million VND each to 100 disadvantagedstudents who are children of local fisherman and military officers and soldiersperforming duties off the coast of Quang Nam.

Earlier, the leader and her entourage offeredincense at the provincial martyrs’ cemetery and the Monument of VietnameseHeroic Mothers in Tam Ky city.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
