Vice President wants more Japanese investment in Vietnam

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh has suggested Governor of Japan’s Fukushima prefecture Masao Uchibori encourage local firms to invest in Vietnam, especially in fields of their strength.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh has suggested Governor ofJapan’s Fukushima prefecture Masao Uchibori encourage local firms to invest inVietnam, especially in fields of their strength like industry, high-techagriculture and renewable energy. 

Duringa reception in Hanoi on August 24, Thinh thanked the Japanese government andpeople for providing support for Vietnam, particularly the supply of officialdevelopment assistance.

Sheexpressed her wish that Fukushima would create favourable conditions for theVietnamese nationals in the locality, and promote people-to-people andlocality-to-locality exchange, as well as cooperation in culture, tourism,environment, and other fields of strength.

Uchibori,for his part, expressed his profound thanks for valuable and sincere supportthat the Vietnamese people have provided for Fukushima following the nucleardisaster in 2011.

Hesaid his visit is meant to strengthen the foundation for bilateral exchange viacharter flights and export of Vietnam’s farm produce.

The guest said Fukushima enterprises are interested inVietnam’s business climate in technology, robot manufacturing, health care,renewable energy and academic exchange among universities and institutes.-VNA
