Vietnam hopes for Cambodia’s support for Vietnamese community

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam expects that Cambodia’s authorised agencies and local authorities wil💜l work to help the Vietnamese community in the country enjoy their legitimate rights and interests, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Le Hai Binh has stated.
Binh made the statement at the ministry’s regular press conference in Hanoi on September 22 in reply to reporters’ query on the situation of the Vietnamese people in Cambodia.
“The Party and State are pursuing a consistent policy of paying attention and creating all favourable conditions for overseas Vietnamese so that they can live and integrate well into their host countries,” he said.
Vietnam’s authorised agencies are working closely with the Cambodian side to ensure the Vietnamese people in Cambodia enjoy convenient living conditions and business environment, he added.-VNA
President Truong Tan Sang has urged overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia to continue serving as a bridge for the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Foreign Ministry’s spokesman has called on Cambodia’s administration and functional agencies to provide support for Vietnamese nationals living in the country and ensure their legitimate rights.
Since the Strategic Partnership was established in 2020, Vietnam and New Zealand have witnessed steady growth in the relations. Beyond the remarkable 40% increase in bilateral trade over five years, political relations and multilateral interactions, particularly within the CPTPP framework, have remained highly positive.

Highlighting the transformative potential of the draft law in revitalising Vietnam’s railway industry, Hoang Van Cuong, a deputy of Hanoi, expressed his support for Article 39, which empowers the Prime Minister to issue a list of railway-related goods and services to be assigned or ordered from domestic enterprises for production.
