Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the🦩 Vietnam People’s Army Sen. Lieut. Ge𓄧n. Vo Van Tuan expressed his hope to beef up defence cooperation with India.

At a reception on January 14 for Major General Vithal Ram Peshwae, who is leading an Indian naval war academy delegation’s visit to Vietnam, Tuan stressed the importance of delegation exchanges between the two countries’ armies.
Highlighting active achievements of strategic cooperation between the two armies, the host described naval collaboration as a spotlight in the relationship. He expressed thanks to the Indian army for their support for Vietnam and called for more assistance from the Indian Navy for Vietnam Navy air forces.
In reply, Vithal Ram Peshwae said that during his visit he aims to study Vietnamese naval forces and discuss issues of shared concerns. The guest extended his belief that the close ties between Vietnam and India, including in defence cooperation, will thrive in the time ahead.-VNA
