Bangkok (VNA) 💟– Vietnamese Ambassador toThailand Phan Chi Thanh on June 22 paid a courtesy visit to Thai Deputy PrimeMinister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai in Bangkok on June 22.

The ambassador expressed his delight about thefruitful development of relations between the two countries in all areas, including politics, foreign affairs, economy, investment, trade and culture. The diplomat highlighted the promotion of the enhanced strategic partnership through the “Three Connects” strategy which was mentionedby Don at the Vietnam-Thailand Business Forum held in June 2022in Thailand, adding that the two sides should enhance the strategy's awareness among government units, enterprises and people in the time ahead.

Regarding collaboration between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Thanh suggested the two sides soon implement a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) signed between the two ministries, study and conduct visits and learn from each other's experiences in order to increase exchanges and bilateral connectivity.  He hoped that Thailand will support the establishment of Vietnamese culture and education centres and Vietnamese studies centres at Thai universities as well as the teaching and learning of Thai language in Vietnam. As the two countries are celebrating the 10th founding anniversary of strategic partnership (2013-2023), Thanh expected that the two sides will maintain meetings and exchanges of delegations at the high-level. For his part, Don said he was glad to see that Thailand-Vietnam relations have been developing fruitfully both in bilateral aspects and multilateral mechanisms in the region. He expressed his wish that the Vietnamesegovernment will continue to create favourable conditions for Thai groups and enterprisesinvesting in Vietnam and emphasised the importance of collaboration in severalareas such as economy, culture and people-to-people exchanges between the twocountries, especially the introduction of Thailand’s Philosophy of SufficiencyEconomy to the neighbouring country./.
