Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam attaches importance to defenceties with Myanmar , said Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen Nguyen ChiVinh at a reception in Hanoi on May 7 for outgoing Myanmar military, naval andair force attaché Colonel Aung Kyaw Oo and newly-accredited attaché BrigadierGeneral Aung Zeya.

Vinh assured the guests that the Vietnamese Defence Ministrywill always create favourable conditions for Aung Zeya to fulfill his assignedtasks.

He spoke highly of Aung Kyaw Oo’s contributions to boostingVietnam – Myanmar defence ties during his tenure.

Aung Kyaw Oo, for his part, thanked the Vietnamese DefenceMinistry for supporting him during his tenure.

Aung Zeya expressed his wish to contribute to Vietnam –Myanmar ties.-VNA
