Vietnam win 10 gold medals at ASEAN School Games

Vietnam won 10 gold, two silver and eight bronze medals to temporarily rank fourth at the 2015 ASEAN School Games at the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium, Brunei, on November 25.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam won 10 gold, two silver and eight bronze medals to temporarily rank fourth at the 2015 ASEAN S🌠chool Games at the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium, Brunei, on November 25.

Vietnam's gold medals are mainly from athletics events of javelin, long jump and running.
Indonesia took the lead with 19 golds, 17 silvers and six bronzes. Malaysia are second with 17 golds, 12 silvers and 16 bronzes. Vietnam sent 51 athletes and officials to compete in the seventh ASEAN Schools Games which kicked off in Brunei on November 22.
The team are competing in four out of seven sports at the event, including athletics, badminton, golf and pencak silat. The seven-sport event, which aims to foster greater collaboration among school students in ASEAN member countries, will close on November 29.-VNA
