Vietnamese Vice President visits Laos’s Vientiane province

Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan left the Lao capital city of Vientiane for the province of Vientiane on October 17, part of her official visit to Vietnam’s neighbouring country.

Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan left the Lao capital city of Vientiane for the province of Vientiane on October 17, part of her official visit to Vietnam’s neighbouring country. Welcoming the Vice President, Secretary of the provincial committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and provincial Governor Vidong Sayasone described the visit as a considerable support to his province.
He informed his guest about local socio-economic development and Vientiane’s cooperation with Vietnam’s Hai Phong city and Hai Duong, Yen Bai and Nghe An provinces. For her part, Doan spoke highly of massive achievements the province has reaped in recent years and voiced the belief in more development successes to be harvested in the time to come.
She applauded the close friendship and cooperation between Vientiane and the Vietnamese localities while thanking local authorities for creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese expatriates and businesses there. The official also asked the provincial authorities to continue to enhance educating local resident about the traditional relationship between Vietnam and Laos and foster the effectiveness of Vientiane’s partnership with the Vietnamese city and provinces. Later the same day, Vice President Doan returned to the capital city of Vientiane to visit the Vietnamese Embassy and meet with expatriates.-VNA
