VNA, Government Inspectorate forge stronger media cooperation

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Government Inspectorate signed an agreement on collaboration in a communication programme on inspections, receiving citizens, handling complaints and corruption prevention and control on June 10.

The programme allows both sidesto exchange information and popularise news on issues related to Statemanagement of the Government Inspectorate through VNA media products.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Inspector GeneralHuynh Phong Tranh said the expansion of cooperation between the twosides aims to provide information on the Government Inspectorate’sactivities to the community in a timely, thorough and rapid manner. Thedeal will serve as an important legal foundation for the two sides, headded.

He pledged that the Government Inspectoratewill stay active in providing information to the VNA fully, timely andaccurately.

For his part, VNA General DirectorNguyen Duc Loi said news on inspection, receiving citizens, handlingcomplaints and corruption prevention and control have been an importantpart of the VNA’s media products.

He said he hopesinformation provided by the Government Inspectorate and its bodies willhelp the community access accurate and updated policies from the sector.

The VNA leader also suggested the GovernmentInspectorate open short training courses for VNA reporters to help themgain professional knowledge on sector activities.

Healso pledged that the VNA is ready to help the GovernmentInspectorate’s media body enhance their journalism capacity whilesetting up a media link between the two sides to facilitate rapidinformation exchange.

On the occasion, the VNAleader presented Inspector General Tranh with an insignia in recognitionof his contributions to the growth of the VNA.-VNA
