In March 2017,Indonesia decided to stop importing beef and chicken from Brazil after ameatpacking scandal raised doubts about the country's food industry.
Brazil is theworld’s top beef and poultry exporter and is ranked fourth globally in porkexports. The three types of meat’s export revenue amounted to 11.6 billion USD in2016.
