Cambodia and China pledged to reinforce and expand their bilateral strategic partnership during the state visit to Cambodia by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – Cambodia and China pledgedto reinforce and expand their bilateral strategic partnership during the statevisit to Cambodia by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
At meetings between Li and top Cambodian officials, thetwo sides discussed their bilateral relations and regional and global issues ofmutual concern and reached consensus in many matters.
They agreed to strengthen cooperation in all areas anddevelop the ties towards the common wishes and core benefits of their people.
On the East Sea issue, both sides urged involved partiesto effectively, fully implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties inthe East Sea (DOC) and step up consultation on the Code of Conduct in the EastSea (COC).
Cambodia and China signed 19 bilateral agreements afterthe meetings.

China is the biggest investor in Cambodia, with cumulative investment exceeding 14 billion USD from 1994 to October 2016, according to the Council for Development of Cambodia.
