Phnom Penh (VNA) – Cambodia and China pledgedto reinforce and expand their bilateral strategic partnership during the statevisit to Cambodia by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

At meetings between Li and top Cambodian officials, thetwo sides discussed their bilateral relations and regional and global issues ofmutual concern and reached consensus in many matters.

They agreed to strengthen cooperation in all areas anddevelop the ties towards the common wishes and core benefits of their people.

On the East Sea issue, both sides urged involved partiesto effectively, fully implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties inthe East Sea (DOC) and step up consultation on the Code of Conduct in the EastSea (COC).

Cambodia and China signed 19 bilateral agreements afterthe meetings.

Li made a visit to Cambodia after co-chairing the secondMekong-Lancang Cooperation Summit, which wrapped up in Phnom Penh on January10, with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techno Hun Sen.-VNA
