Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – More than64,000 police will be on duty during the upcoming general election in Malaysia.
Director of the Internal Security and PublicOrder Zulkifli Abdullah revealed that the officers will be deployed throughoutthe country to ensure the polls are free of incidents.
Apart from polling centres, police will bearranged at different locations, he said.
Nearly 5,000 police volunteers reserve members willbe assigned at police stations to perform relevant duties, he added.
Police is also conducting training courses for personnelto serve the generation election, which is scheduled to take place in August2018.-VNA
