Hanoi (VNA) – The fourth plenum of the 13th Party CentralCommittee entered the second working day in Hanoi on October 5.
🌼 At the plenary session chaired by Politburo member and PrimeMinister Pham Minh Chinh in the morning, delegates discussed a report reviewingthe implementation of the 2021 socio-economic development plan, the draftscheme on 2022 socio-economic development, the State budget 2021 and Statebudget estimate 2022, and the 2022-2024 financial-budget plan.
They also looked into the delay of salary reform policy inaccordance with Resolution No.27-NQ/TW adopted by the seventh plenum of the12th Party Central Committee, a report on COVID-19 prevention andcontrol, as well as policies, tasks and measures in the near future.
ꦓ In the afternoon, they debated in groups a report on thefive-year implementation of the 12th Party Central Committee’s ResolutionNo.04-NQ/TW dated October 30, 2016 on strengthening Party building andrectification, preventing and driving back degradation in political thought,morality and lifestyle, manifestations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” among members, as well as regulations on taboos by Partymembers./.
The fourth session of the 13th Party Central Committee will focus on sketching out policies, targets, tasks and solutions to strengthen Party building and rectification, stop and drive back the degradation in political ideology, morality and lifestyle as well as signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" among members, stated Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the opening of the session on October 4.
The 13th Party Central Committee opened its fourth session in Hanoi on October 4 under the chair of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong who delivered an opening remark.
Addressing the meeting, Party General Secretary To Lam expressed his pleasure at meeting a large number of Vietnamese living and working in the RoK, acknowledging and appreciating their efforts in contributing to the growing Vietnam–RoK partnership.
He also welcomed the “Vietnam Private Sector Panorama” as a platform for dialogue, awareness-raising, and inspiring a wealth-creation movement, emphasising that it must deliver tangible results.
During a meeting on August 10 in Seoul with 100 representatives from the RoK’s intellectuals, associations, people’s organisations, businesses, and non-governmental organisations operating in Vietnam, Party General Secretary To Lam expressed his gratitude to Korean friendship, economic, cultural associations, universities, research institutes, individuals, and NGOs for their significant contributions to nurturing the Vietnam–RoK relationship.
