Hanoi (VNA) – The retail prices of petrol rose slightly from 3pm on September 18 following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance amidst fluctuations in international oil prices, exchange rate volatility, and existing regulatory frameworks.
Under the new pricing structure, E5RON92 biofuel is sold for no more than 19,986 VND (0.76 USD) per litre, representing an increase of 230 VND from the previous base price. This keeps the fuel 622 VND per litre cheaper than RON95-III gasoline, which is set at the maximum price of 20,608 VND per litre, up 208 VND.
Meanwhile, the ceiling prices for diesel 0.05S, kerosene, and mazut 180CST 3.5S are 18,705 VND, 18,544 VND, and 15,130 VND per litre, going up 62 VND, 176 VND, and 40 VND, respectively.

Since the beginning of the year, domestic fuel prices have undergone 38 adjustments, with RON 95 gasoline rising 21 times and falling 17 times; diesel rising 19 times, falling 18 times, and remaining unchanged once.
Accordingly, E5 RON92 petrol is now capped at 19,711 VND (0.75 USD) per litre, up 307 VND from the previous adjustment, while RON95-III petrol costs 20,363 VND per litre, up 452 VND.
