National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, his spouse, and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam, left Hanoi on September 16 for the 46th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-46) in Malaysia and an official visit to the country from September 16-20.

The UK-based Lloyd’s List magazine has released its 2025 ranking of the world’s top 100 busiest container ports. Notably, three Vietnamese seaports made the list: Ho Chi Minh City Port, Hai Phong Port, and Cai Mep Port.

On September 15, 1945, the Vietnam News Agency - named by President Ho Chi Minh – aired the full text of the Declaration of Independence and the list of the members of the provisional Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in three languages – Vietnamese, English and French. On behalf of the Politburo, on August 22, 2025, Party General Secretary To Lam signed and promulgated the Politburo’s Resolution on breakthroughs in education and training development (Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW). Accordingly, the Politburo set the target of improving quality of preschool and general education to reach advanced standards in Asia by 2030.

After 80 years, from a poor and underdeveloped nation, Vietnam has risen to become a dynamic and creative economy, ranking among the top 15 countries for FDI attraction and the top 20 economies with the largest trade scale globally.

The nationwide project to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses has been basically completed 5 years and 4 months earlier than planned, marking a special achievement that reflects the will of the Party and the people.

Social media platforms and gaming companies in Vietnam have launched the campaign “Proud Vietnam – Reddening Cyberspace Red.” The campaign highlights the power of the digital space in awakening patriotism, honoring the nation’s historical and cultural values, and strengthening community solidarity.

Hanoi installs 22 large LED screens at 18 public sites for live broadcast of the 80th anniversary of National Day and parade. The screens help residents access the celebrations easily while easing crowd pressure at Ba Dinh Square.

From August 30 to September 2, Hanoi will waive fares on subsidised public transport services (buses and urban railways) for residents and visitors. This not only facilitates travel to revolutionary historical sites and participation in commemorative events, but also helps ease traffic congestion, and promote the image of a modern, civilised and welcoming capital.
