Reference exchange rate continues to drop on August 26

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,537 VND/USD and the floor rate 24,009 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,273 VND/USD on August 26, down 18 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,537 VND/USD and the floor rate 24,009 VND/USD.

At 8:25 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks also saw decreases.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 26,140 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,500 VND/USD, both down 20 VND from August 25.

The rates at BIDV stood at 26,140 VND/USD and 26,500 VND/USD, down 10 VND./.
