Hanoi (VNA) - The VinFast Trading and Production JSC (Vinfast) has signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation with the Vietmap JSC to develop and integrate digital mapping solutions and smart traffic services into VinFast electric vehicles.

The partnership aims to enhance user experiences, promote a green transportation ecosystem in Vietnam, and create development opportunities for Vietnam’s technological products and brands.

Under the agreement, Vietmap will offer a special incentive package for VinFast e-vehicle owners using Vietmap Live, a popular and reliable navigation app in the market. In the time to come, VinFast plans to include the app in optional software packages, making it more accessible to users. At the same time, VinFast will support Vietmap in promoting its products and reaching Vietnam’s growing community of e-vehicle users.

Beyond navigation services, the strategic partnership is also expected to jointly research and develop an advanced digital mapping system tailored to Vietnam’s transport infrastructure, focusing on national expressways and modern urban areas developed by Vinhomes.

The two sides will also work together to build advanced map features such as navigation assistance, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), real-time positioning, and location-based services (LBS). These solutions will be directly integrated into VinFast’s e-vehicle operating system, delivering a smarter and more comprehensive experience for users.

Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales at VinFast, emphasised that as the first and only e-vehicle manufacturer in Vietnam, VinFast is always mindful of its responsibility to support domestic enterprises. She noted that cooperation with Vietmap will make VinFast EVs not only more eco-friendly and useful, but also better tailored to the demand and habits of Vietnamese people.

Huynh Buu Quoc, Deputy CEO of Vietmap, said with its strengths in digital mapping technology and detailed traffic data, Vietmap will work with VinFast to develop breakthrough solutions for Vietnamese users. He added that this reflects the close cooperation among Vietnamese enterprises in building a modern technology ecosystem.

The partnership is expected to create new opportunities, enhancing customer experience while fostering the development of Vietnamese technology enterprises.

🉐 With their long-term development orientations, VinFast and Vietmap affirm their shared vision to create smart and eco-friendly transportation technology solutions that practically serve the demand of Vietnamese people, while moving toward international standards./.
